Batch editing without losing quality

Batch editing goes wrong when "efficient" becomes "identical". Here is the workflow we use to stay fast without flattening the life out of a set.

Correct once, apply carefully

Fix exposure and white balance on a representative image, then sync only global corrections across the set. Never batch local edits — each frame deserves its own pass on anything targeted.

Check the outliers

After batch corrections, scan for frames shot in different light or angle. They need individual attention; applying the same recipe to them is what makes sets look mechanical.

Frequently asked questions

How do I keep versions organized during batch work?

Duplicate the folder before syncing settings, keep the untouched original set, and export deliveries from a third folder. Never overwrite in place.
